Listing details for 9101 Kenway, Frederick, MD 21704 : Incredible NEW Price and Incredible location! Located in the heart of Villages of Urbana! Wonderful opportunity to own the Historic Dudderar Farmhouse and be the next family to take the next step in this homes history. The original house believed to have been constructed between the last 1830's and early 1850's. The houses name derived from its longtime owners, the Dudderar family who lived there from 1920 to 1966.Perhaps the earliest owner, who may have built the original home, was Henry Nixdorff, a prominent landowner in Frederick County who, by the time of his death in 1859, had assembled various tracts of land throughout Frederick County. In 1863, during the Civil War, the farm was bought by Samuel Hinks, the former Mayor of Baltimore, who also owned the adjoining historic estate, Landon. Twenty years later, Hinks sold the farm to Luke Tiernan Brien, a member of a family long active in Maryland politics, and namesake of Brien Place across the street. Parkwood Homes has created a great blend of original historic features meets renovated modern finishes to create a warm and inviting space to call home. They have done a phenomenal renovation from top of the line appliances, wide plank hardwood floors, large gourmet kitchen island, high ceilings in the basement, upgraded cabinets and counter tops, and so much more!
